Preparations for CETEF’26 Underway – IZTECH Vice President Meets with Orgalim Representatives
On 4 February, representatives of Orgalim and partner organisations from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region met in Vienna. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation within the CEE region, as well as on the shared challenges and opportunities facing the advanced technology sector.
The meeting, where IZTECH was represented by its Vice-President Katarzyna Walczyk-Matuszyk, provided an opportunity to better understand Orgalim’s priorities and to exchange views on industrial policy, research and innovation. A key part of the agenda was an open discussion on how to more effectively link national-level actions with European initiatives and how to build a stronger representation of technology companies from our region.
An important element of the talks was cooperation among sister organisations from CEE countries. Face-to-face meetings helped deepen relationships and improve understanding of the specific characteristics of individual markets. A shared priority remains increasing the participation of Central and Eastern European companies in EU Framework Programmes, including Horizon Europe, and making more effective use of available funding instruments.
During the meeting, Katarzyna Walczyk-Matuszyk also extended an invitation to Orgalim to engage in CETEF’26, opening the door for closer cooperation and stronger involvement of European industry representatives in the upcoming event.
The meeting also highlighted the role of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology (IZTECH) as a recognised and active partner in the field of R&D and EU Framework Programmes. IZTECH contributes not only at the national level, supporting Polish companies and institutions in accessing European funding, but also within the broader European ecosystem by engaging in discussions on the future direction of innovation and industrial development.
Regional cooperation and a stronger presence of CEE organisations within European structures are key conditions for building the competitiveness of our technology sector. The meeting in Vienna marked another important step in this direction.
